HGH Humatrop Treatment Dosage and Usage Instructions

Humatrop is a popular prescription human growth hormone replacement treatment used today. It usually is administered in a vial (liquid dispenser) form.

Preparation Instructions

A 5-mg vial of Humatrop should be reconstituted with 1.5 to 5ml of Diluent. The diluent is then injected into the vile of Humatrop. This is done as you aim the liquid very gently against the wall of the vial.

Afterwards, it is highly recommended that you swirl the solution gently and slowly around and around. This should be done until solution is completely dissolved. You will know it is when the end result is you have a clear solution in front of you to use.

It is important that you do not shake this solution. Furthermore, never inject cloudy solution that is not completely mixed to the point of total dissolution. This could be dangerous to you.

Some people may be sensitive to diluent. Therefore, in this case the vials may need to be reconstituted in Bacteriostatic Water. Two more options available to you are USP or Sterile Water.

In the case of using the Bacteriostatic solution it should be used 14 days. During this time, the prepared solution should remain at a temperature between 36° and 40° F (2° to 8°  ).

The instructions for using the cartridge form of this drug versus the vial form are a bit different. For one, the Humatrop cartridge is meant to only be used with the Humatrop injection tool, and only the diluent that comes with the syringe should be used.

Similar precautions apply to using the cartridge versus the vial. It should not be injected unless the solution is prepared properly. It should NOT be cloudy come time to inject it. If it is you are not advised to use it.

Warnings

Note that bacteriostatic water cannot be used on infants. Another solution is usually recommended instead, such as perhaps one mentioned above.  You should talk to your doctor about any concerns you have regarding all of this.

Safety Tips

You are advised to wash the used end of the vial with alcohol before and after each injection. This will greatly reduce the likelihood you do not get infected.

If you are using the cartridge version of Humatrop you should use a sterile disposable needle each time. Again, it cannot be stressed enough that you mix the solution thoroughly until it appears clear.
